Biography

Gao Zhen, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Associate Chief Physician, Ph.D. From 2002 to 2004, he studied Surgery at Shanghai Second Medical University and obtained a Master’s degree; from 2004 to 2007, he studied at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and obtained a Ph.D. in Surgery (Plastic Surgery). Since 2007, he has been working in the Department of Plastic Surgery, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Clinically, he specializes in the clinical treatment of and basic research on scars, especially keloids, hypertrophic scars, facial aging, low nasal bridge, excessively wide double eyelid crease, and micrognathia, including surgical, laser, pharmacological, and radiotherapeutic treatments, etc. He is a Youth Committee Member of the Scar Medicine Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, and a Member of the Scar and Regenerative Medicine Committee of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. To date, he has published 15 SCI-indexed papers, delivered more than 10 presentations at international conferences, contributed to 1 monograph, obtained 3 national patents, led 2 national-level projects and 1 Shanghai municipal project, and, as a major participant, completed 2 national-level projects and 3 Shanghai municipal projects. He has received the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, the Chenguang Scholar Award of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and the Third Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, among other awards.
